Every Thursday from 4pm to 6pm
Residents are welcome to stop in during office hours to chat with Nate and Michelle about town related questions or ideas. These hours are for informal discussions and are not a public meeting.

LEGAL NOTICE
The Town of Preble, Cortland County, New York, is requesting proposals from qualified consultants or firms to provide Program and Grant Administration Services for its 2025 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Housing Rehabilitation Program, funded by the New York State Office of Community Renewal (OCR).
The program is funded by a $600,000 NYS CDBG award and will rehabilitate owner-occupied housing for low- and moderate-income households.
MWBE firms and Section 3 Business Concerns are strongly encouraged to submit proposals. In accordance with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, priority will be given, to the greatest extent feasible, to low- and very-low-income persons and to businesses that employ such persons.
Proposals must be submitted electronically in PDF format no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, April 17, 2026. Late proposals will not be accepted.

The Town of Preble is launching a new Community Engagement Committee, and we’re looking for residents who want to help bring our community together.
This committee will work with the Town Board to share ideas and recommendations on parks, recreation, seasonal events, volunteer coordination, youth and family activities, and ways to strengthen connections across Preble. The goal is to support simple, meaningful opportunities that enhance quality of life for residents of all ages.
The Town Board will appoint five residents who submit an application. If you’d like to get involved and help shape community engagement in Preble, we encourage you to apply!

Preble Town Clean-Up 2026
Preble residents may bring the following items to the site of the Highway Garage/ Salt Shed at 6684 Rt. 281 (Just north of the Mountain View Restaurant)
HOURS AND DAYS OF OPERATION
FRIDAY April 24th from 7:30 - ‘til 3:30 pm (Closed 12:00 – 12:30)
SATURDAY April 25th from 7:30 am ‘til 3:30 pm (Closed 12:00 – 12:30)
CLOSED SUNDAY
There will be no fee for these items:
- White goods, steel, iron, tin,
- Small bundles of yard waste, less than 7’ long and 4’ in diameter
- Other refuse at the discretion of the attendant.
Nails to be removed or bent over
- Nails, Screws and other sharp object are to be in an enclosed container
LOADS MUST BE SEPARATED
MIXED LOADS WILL BE PULLED TO THE SIDE TO ALLOW SEPARATED MATERIALS TO BE UNLOADED
Under NO circumstances shall the following items be brought:
- Hazardous materials or their containers
- Paint cans with ANY liquid left in them
- Household garbage, (i.e. Food wastes)
- Tires
